I’ve been off the Herald list for some years, and I’m delighted to see it coming electronically. Thank you, Marian, for keeping my email somewhere in your files; you’ll get my check soon.
The new format looks fine to me. I too regret the need to give up paper, but as an incorrigible recycler and reducer of waste, I’ll learn to live with the on-line edition. Thanks to all who’ve worked to make it happen.
I am pleased to see this publication and will look forward to what comes forth. Ethiopia continues to be a high point of my life. I have kept in contact with a few people- Peggy Drury, Charles Sutton, Tamene Asmare, Johannes Paulos, Hannah Gultie and others.
My membership is on its way.
Great to get connected once again. I was in country spring 2002 and had a great visit; did the “Historical Tour” just like I did Christmas 1972–my first in Ethiopia.
Forgot–my tour was in Finote Selam ’72-’74.
Glad to see the Herald is back. I’ve been returning since ’98 working with churches and HIV/AIDS. So many things have changed, yet so many are just the same. Looking forward to more…
Barry, Marian, thanks. This is great.
Regards from Luang Namtha, Laos. (Travel blog at jdasia2010.blogspot.com.)
Will send dues when we get home April 21. Don’t cut me off!
This is a great start. I haven’t read all of this Herald yet, but it didn’t take me too long to begin learning how to “turn the pages” of the online Herald. I look forward to hearing from everyone again. Thanks to Marian and Barry for their efforts.
So glad to have found this resource. As a RPCV, I have never ceased following PC developments. My husband and I were in Agaro’72-’74 and have reconnected with our resident student from there, who is now living in North Carolina. The world is small, beautiful, and exciting. Our daughter is now a PCV in eastern Europe, so the circle expands.
